Some weather-based smart controllers operate based on historical information, while others operate based on current weather data transmitted each day from local weather stations during the irrigation season. Prices vary depending on the model, brand and vendor. Please do your research to find a device that meets your needs at the price you are willing to pay, or ask your professtional landscape contractor.
All rain sensors that connect to an automatic, in-ground irrigation system are eligible for the $25 rebate; wireless rain sensors are eligible for the $50 rebate.
Hunter MP Rotator® nozzles, for use on 8-30' spray patterns, and Rain Bird® Rotary nozzles, for use on 13-24' spray patterns, are eligible. The rebate is $5 per nozzle, $20 minimum. Nozzles must be installed to qualify for rebate. One rebate per property.
Specific rebates are available for new construction in which water account is activated Jan. 1, 2009 and later.
You must submit your application within 90 days of purchase. Qualifying purchases must be made between Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2009.
Failure to cash a rebate check within 90 days of issuance shall void the rebate and shall relieve Denver Water of any obligation or liability to pay the rebate. Rebate checks cannot be reissued.
