Denver Water Names Usha Sharma Treasurer

April 29, 2009 - Former Global Treasury Manager for Molson Coors, Usha Sharma, has been appointed treasurer of Denver Water. Sharma will lead the financial aspects of Denver Water’s cash management, debt management and risk management programs, as well as the employee retirement plan. She also will provide leadership in designing Denver Water’s procedures of addressing the financial challenges of the future.

Sharma holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal, and an M.B.A. and Master of Science in finance from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is the incoming president of the Colorado Treasury Management Association and a member of the Association for Financial Professionals.

Director of Finance David LaFrance said: “We’re very lucky to have Usha working at Denver Water because of her treasury management expertise, proven leadership skills and ability to work in teams. I am confident she will be a strong contributor to the organization.”
