Drilling tests to run Oct. 5-30

Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, Denver Water will begin a subsurface investigation that will involve drilling operations close to Osprey Point. This work will inform Denver Water on the suitability of the proposed Osprey Point quarry location for the Gross Reservoir Expansion Project and assist in the final development of quarry operation and reclamation plans.  

This work will continue through the week of Oct. 26 depending on weather and other factors. Drilling operations will take place weekdays during daylight hours to avoid higher recreation traffic on the weekends. The majority of this work will take place off the roadway. However, the public should be careful and obey all posted signs in the area.
