This is a woman’s world
Around the United States, people are honoring women in March in celebration of Women’s History Month. At Denver Water, we have many remarkable women who have pushed beyond norms and achieved incredible things.
In this photo, water quality technicians Nicole Peschel and Aubrey Miller take samples at the Marston Forebay water storage facility in southwest Denver — a critical task to ensure Denver Water continues to send clean drinking water to 1.5 million people.
Other women making a difference at Denver Water include Patty Brubaker, who went from the only female in her high school physics class to the manager of a Denver Water treatment plant.
And then there’s Patti Wells, Denver Water’s general counsel for 27 years, from 1991 until her retirement in 2018. Wells was a crucial voice in the development and implementation of the Colorado Water Plan and been part of many major water decisions in the West throughout her trailblazing career.
Hats off to all the powerful and brilliant women at Denver Water, throughout the country and around the world.
