Rocker Chuck Leavell rolls into Denver Water
Chuck Leavell has shared the stage with the likes of Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, John Mayer and now, Denver Water’s very own Christina Burri and Patty Brubaker.
That’s because this acclaimed pianist does more than rock out arenas. He’s also a passionate conservationist and tree farmer traveling the country as a host for "America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell."
Denver Water shares his passion, which is where Burri, a watershed scientist, and Brubaker, treatment plant manager and Rolling Stones groupie, come into play.
Last August, Leavell spent time at a number of Denver Water facilities and watersheds learning about the From Forests to Faucets partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, Colorado State Forest Service and Natural Resources Conservation Service. Leavell interviewed Burri and Brubaker on how critical forests are to Denver’s water quality and supply.
The episode will premiere on Rocky Mountain PBS, Jan. 25, 2018, at 7 p.m.
