Joining the celebration at the 9News Parade of Lights
Denver Water employees — and a float — were once again wrapped in lights and spreading holiday cheer during the annual 9News Parade of Lights through downtown during the first weekend in December.
The 2019 parade was Denver Water’s fifth year of participation, bringing dozens of volunteers and the “Mountain Magic” float, which showcases the journey of water from the “gift” of mountain snowpack to customers' taps.
This year’s parade featured more than 40 groups, including brightly lit floats, giant balloons, marching bands, decorated dogs and more.
Denver Water employee volunteers and their family members either rode the float or walked alongside waving and high fiving the crowd, which filled the sidewalks of the 2-mile-long parade route.
Denver Water’s Running Toilet, a crowd favorite, also was on hand entertaining kids and their parents.
Check out the video and these pictures to see great time we had in 2019.
