Upcoming onsite plant testing

In September, Kiewit Barnard will test the onsite crusher and batch plants that will make the concrete used to raise the dam. This includes quarrying rock, crushing rock and batching concrete – the process of mixing materials. Then, the concrete will be placed on a test structure near Osprey Point. This trial will allow Kiewit Barnard to fine-tune the operation before concrete placements to raise the dam beginning in 2024.

This trial will last several weeks and will occur during the day. Other work activities will continue at night. Once concrete placements to raise the dam begin in 2024, operations will be 24/7.
