From snowflake to tap — a video journey
As Rocky Mountain PBS kicks off 'Water Week,’ we present to you a behind-the-scenes feature of Denver’s water system.
Each drop of tap water has forged a journey of hundreds of miles to land in your sink.
This seemingly effortless process couldn’t be done without hundreds of dedicated employees working day and night, in snowdrifts, laboratories and underground pipes, to make sure you always have the water you need. They keep this massive, complex water system humming — sending water from mountain reservoirs down rivers to treatment plants and through pipes to your home.
In honor Rocky Mountain PBS’s “Water Week,” which begins Feb. 25 and features unique, historical and informational programming and events across Colorado, we invite you to follow this journey of water from as it starts as snow and becomes the lifeblood of a city.
