Denver Water statement about the water outage at Welton Park Apartments (2300 Welton Street) in Five Points:
As the water provider to 1.5 million people across the Denver metro area, Denver Water takes its responsibility to provide a reliable and safe drinking water supply very seriously. Even when issues outside of our system impact water supply for our community, we stand ready to provide support.
We’ve been closely following the extended water outage at 2300 Welton, which is due to an internal plumbing issue, and are prepared to provide bottled water to this community if that is requested or needed. We also know that the residents expressed water quality concerns, so our water quality experts provided testing and confirmed that the water in the building is safe to drink.
We will continue to stand by and work closely with our partners at the City and County of Denver to provide any additional support that may be requested to help these residents during this challenging time.
