Work flexibility

  • Some positions have the opportunity for hybrid work schedules.
  • Opportunities for flex schedules, include:
    • Half-day option, in which employees work four 9-hour days, and one 4-hour day (not including lunch).
    • 4 x 10s, in which employees work four 10-hour days or some variation that results in 40 hours per week (not including lunch).
    • 9 x 80s, in which employees work eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day (not including lunch) in a two-week period, with the 10th day off (exempt employees only, not eligible for hourly employees).
  • Time off
    • Nine personal leave days to be used in the calendar year.
    • 11 paid holidays. 
    • Paid time off accrual.

This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

Retirement

Denver Water offers competitive programs that allow all employees an opportunity to save for retirement.

  • Pension. Plan costs are shared by Denver Water and employee contribution.
  • 401(k) plan. Denver Water will match pre-tax dollar investment by employee.
  • 457 plan. Supplimental retirement savings by employee contribution.
