Denver Water is committed to ensuring we have an adequate water supply for the future through conservation efforts, recycled water and the development of new supply. We have an aggressive conservation plan and an innovative recycled water system, but we also need to secure new supply.
We are pursuing numerous options to increase that supply, including turning old gravel pits into reservoirs, making small-scale refinements to increase the system’s productivity and developing new water supply in the Moffat Collection System. We are also studying other options, such as underground water storage in aquifers.
